La Livinière is a small village in the Languedoc region of France (now called Occitanie).
The village got its name from the vineyards brought to the area by the Romans. The mild Mediterranean climate is perfect for growing grapes, olives and many other well known delicacies of the local Terroir.
With about 600 inhabitants, this typical Languedoc village has a bakery, a restaurant, a café, a grocery store, a post office, many wine shops and a drugstore, all located within a five minute walk from the house.
Its churches, market place, fountains and architecture nestled amongst vineyards, olive orchards and the garrigue, as well as its proximity to world famous historical sites (Cité de Carcassonne, Canal du Midi...), make this village an idyllic destination year round.
An addictive place where great foods and great wines mingle with breath taking landscapes and amazing discoveries.
